The Dongbusan region is on the rise. In particular, it is adjacent to Songjeong Beach in Haeundae-gu. This is thanks to the Osiria Tourist Complex in Gijang-gun.

There are many tourist attractions along the coastal road from Songjeong Beach.  

For example, recreational facilities such as Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Ananti Hilton Hotel, Lotte Shopping Mall, Lotte World, and furniture department store IKEA are scheduled to appear one after another in the future.

The problem is that transportation difficulties are serious in the eastern part of Busan. On September 1st, a call-type bus called ‘TABARA’ was introduced under the leadership of Gijang-gun.  This bus ‘comes when you call!’  is providing a smartphone app-based service using Catch Frazer.

It is not yet known whether 'Tabara' will become Gijang-gun's new specialty, but the attempt itself is very welcome.  However, it remains to be seen how much it will contribute to relieving traffic problems in the eastern part of the country on weekends.

So, is there a trick to promoting tourism and solving transportation problems in the eastern region at the same time?

First, a light rail line must be installed along the coastal road. We must expedite the start of construction of the planned Osiria extension line.

Second, Gijang-gun, Haeundae-gu, and Ulju-gun, where Ganjeolgot, a famous sunrise spot, must be established at the same time.

Third, transfer centers should be installed at each Donghae Line light rail station and public transportation should be increased along the coastal road.

In conclusion, the pending issues in the Dongbusan region are tourism and transportation.

To kill these two birds with one stone, it is time for Gijang-gun, Haeundae-gu, and Ulju-gun to pool their wisdom together.  Only that path can guarantee the success of Dongbusan Tourism Complex.

해운대의 재발견 #17

동부산 관광단지의 성공조건

동부산 지역이 뜨고 있다. 

특히 해운대구 송정 해수욕장과 인접한 기장군의 오시리아 관광 단지 덕분이다.

송정해수욕장에서 해안 도로를 따라 관광 명소들이 많다. 예컨대 해동 용궁사, 아난티 힐튼 호텔, 롯데 쇼핑몰, 롯데월드, 가구백화점인 이케아 등,  앞으로도 위락시설이 속속 등장할 예정이다. 

문제는 동부산지역에 교통 난이 심각하다는 점이다. 

지난 9월 1일에는 기장군 주도로 '타바라 (TABARA)' 라는 호출형 버스가 등장했다. 이 버스는 '부르면 달려온다!' 는 캐치프레이저로 스마트폰  앱 기반 서비스를 하고 있다. 

'타바라'가 기장군의 새로운 명물이 될 지는 아직 모르지만, 시도 자체는 대단히 환영할 만하다. 

하지만, 주말 동부산지역의 교통난 해소에는 얼마나 기여할 지는 좀 더 두고봐야 할 것 같다. 

그렇다면 동부산 지역의  관광 증진과 교통 문제를 동시에 해결할 묘수는 없을까? 

첫째, 해안도로를 따라 경전철 노선을 설치해야 한다. 계획 중인 오시리아 연장선의 착공을 서둘러야 한다. 

둘째, 기장군과 해운대구, 그리고 해돋이 명소인 간절곶이 있는 울주군이 동시에 교통정책을 세워야 한다. 

셋째, 동해선 경전철 역마다 환승센터를 설치 하고, 해안도로를 따라 대중교통을 늘려야 한다.

결론적으로, 동부산지역의 현안 문제는 관광과 교통이다. 이 두 마리 토끼를 잡는데, 기장군, 해운대구, 울주군이 함께 지혜를 모아야 할 때이다. 그 길만이 동부산 관광단지의 성공을 보장할 수 있다.
